Curious to know what the CBC really knows about the format and subject matter. Not being familiar with how the CBC thinks, it seems a risky gambit for a bunch of bureaucrats.
It’s a good question. I think they would know about the setup and the idea, just not the day-to-day of how it is executed. Having said that, this is entertainment, not news, and really, it doesn’t seem that anyone got harmed in the way of the production. Widdowson liked the interview. It won’t be until we see it- if it airs- that we’ll get an idea. But trusting my people and some of the names on the production, I cannot see it being intended to be cruel. I’d be surprised.
