I am not an employee, so I don't know if staff got a memo. I suspect yes, if anyone wants to send it to me they can!
In short, the NYT insists that freelancers observe the same restrictions and rules as staffers—but still pays them pocket lint.
I'm still interested to hear if anyone will be fired/blacklisted because of this.
